Claudia V. Montanía

Economic Impact Analyst

Claudia V. Montanía is an Extension Economist at the Extension Regional Economic Analysis Program (EREAP).  Her research examines the role of sectoral linkages and spatial interactions among regions, exploring their impact on agricultural growth and their implications for land and water use in agricultural activities. She holds a PhD. in Economics with a focus on regional and agricultural economics. Before joining EREAP, she worked on rural development projects at the United Nations Development Programme's Accelerator Laboratory. Claudia’s research has been published in Papers in Regional Science, Economics System ResearchGrowth and Change, and Land Use Policy, among others.
